REPORT OF KASHMIR FLOOD RELIEF PROGRAMME – 2015
Ta’awun Trust, New Delhi, with the financial support of International Islamic Charitable Organisation, Kuwait, took up a relief programme among flood-affected families of Kashmir in which 1,550 packets containing food-kits, kitchen utensils and chargeable solar lanterns were distributed among the affected families of Kashmir for three consecutive days from March 2-4, 2015 at three different locations, i.e., Singhpora Patan, Distt. Baramula, Kralpora, Dist. Badgaon and Srinagar city.
On the basis of an extensive survey undertaken by our collaborating organisations in Kashmir, 1,550 worst-affected families were identified, necessary forms were filled-in from them and token given to them in advance with an instruction to collect the relief material from given place.
Eminent personalities from civil society, administration and police personnel were present during the distribution progammes.
The programme was widely covered by local and national media.
